Area Youth Recognized for Teamwork and Innovation at FIRST ® LEGO® League Explore Festival

Contestants ages 6 to 10 took part in the annual FIRST LEGO League Explore Festival , which was held remotely on April 10th and 11th due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This year’s theme was PLAYMAKERS, and teams explored ways to have people become more active. The teams embodied the program’s Core Values of teamwork and showed great innovation in their LEGO models and Show Me Posters that they shared with Reviewers remotely.

In Explore, teams of students ages 6-10 focus on the fundamentals of engineering as they explore real-world problems, learn to design and code and create unique solutions made with LEGO bricks and powered by LEGO Education WeDo 2.0.

Each team was recognized in a different category and received a medal. The awards and recipients are listed below:
