Why Sponsor

Between March 27-29, 2008, over 45 high school teams from the Long Island Regional FIRST competition competed at Hofstra University in Hempstead, New York before thousands of spectators in an event combining the best of an athletic competition with engineering excellence.

The School-Business Partnerships of Long Island, INC. coordinates the Long Island Regional FIRST competiton and is charged with raising over $200,000 annually necessary to put on the competition.

“We have found that this competition truly works to inspire young people to pursue careers in the engineering field. The students of today are the workforce of tomorrow. We owe it to the communities in which we live, to help with this event.”

Hans Zobel, CEO
FESTO

By joining us as a sponsor of the event, you will help us to ensure that our students, Long Island's future high-tech workforce, are better able to engage in the vital fields of science, technology and engineering. You will also be helping to secure Long Island's future as a leading technology region.

We urge you to join Hans Zobel and other Long Island technology leaders in supporting this year's robotics competition.
